random1289's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh my god shoes. Hello. My name is Amanda, and I am a shoe addict. I went to the mall with my friend Samantha today and we saw this shoe store and it looked like they had some cute stuff in there, so we decided to look around. It was like heaven. They even had these Harajuku Lovers shoes that I really really want, but am not willing to pay $90 for. So anyway, this sales chick came up and asked if we wanted to try anything. My friend Samantha has wanted some brown converse for a really long time, so she decided to try them on. I wanted to try on these knee high lace up converse. Well, it turns out that they didn't have the converse boots in my size. So they chick brought out some other boots. "I love these boots," she said, "I call them pirate boots. I would totally wear them but I have no calves to fill them out." They were gorgeous. They're black and they almost go up to my knee. The heel is about...2 inches I think. I tried them on. And I looked hott I felt like a model. I didn't have enough cash, but I had just gotten a debit card. The shoes were around $65. I was freaking out. I really wanted the boots, but what the heck would my mom say? She was apprehensive enough when I bought these other black boots at Off Broadway (which I plan on returning, because these boots are way better). Plus I only had $80 on my card. So basically I was arguing with myself while I had Samantha telling me to just freakin get them or she'd hurt me. The sales lady was pretty convincing too. Not in a "I get paid on commission just freakin buy them" way but more of a "You look super cute in those. You really should get them." And yes, I do realize that is the salespeople's job to well, sell you stuff, but this girl was genuinely nice and really cool. Anyway, I gave in and bought the boots. Although, I didn't really enjoy the rest of my shopping because I felt too guilty to actually buy antyhing and I was stressing about what my mother would say. So eventually, my mom picked me up from the mall. I told her about the books, and amazingly enough, she didn't freak out! I was so relieved. But sadly, only for awhile. My mom wanted to see the boots, so I showed them to her. She doesn't like them. She says they look too "goth girl." I totally don't see that at all though. I mean, they're not combat boots. (although, I would love some of those too) She might make me return them. P.S. Did I mention that the shoe store is hiring? You have to be 16 (23 days! I think...) Oh, and you get 40% off! I am so going to work there. 10:31 p.m. - 09/29/2007 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
